Wantok Musik Concert 2023 – An opportunity for Contemporary Artists to Shine

An interview with John Houkarawa a Solomon Islands contemporary artist at the Wantok Musik Concert at Pacific Crown Hotel on Saturday January 21.

At a Wantok Musik Singing Competition organised by the Australian High Commission together with the Wantok Musik Foundation last year, John was the winner at the best male vocalist category.

The win earned him an opportunity to perform alongside famous Australian and Solomon Islands artists in Honiara on over the weekend on saturday.

John expressed his appreciation to the Australian High Commission, Solomon Islands and all stakeholders involved for making the event a success.
