Domestic Traveling to 11 destinations in 8 provinces – Prices Slashed to Half

THE Domestic Tourism Bubble (DTB) Policy or ‘Iumi Tugeda Holiday packages’ launched recently will feature a range of 40 accommodation operators and Tourism Services offered by 38 Tourism Operators in 11 popular destinations in eight provinces.
The ‘Iumi Tugeda Holiday packages’ is the largest ever domestic tourism initiative made so far and it offers a year-long program of massive discount prices on Airline Tickets and Accommodations at popular holiday destinations throughout the featured eight provinces.
Launched on Friday 26th February, the holiday specials have gone on sale on Monday 1 March 2021 and will remain until 28 February 2022.
According to Solomon Airlines, a national marketing campaign will follow the launching.
Commercial Manager for Solomon Airlines, Collin Sigimanu speaking during the launching of the ‘Iumi Tugeda Holiday packages’ at the ‘Tourism in Focus’ summit said with international borders remaining heavily restricted, ‘Iumi Tugeda Holidays’ is designed to get the country moving for the benefit of all, offering clear value and an easy booking process.
“An important objective is to encourage people to explore more of our country beyond the usual destinations and to discover new parts of the Solomon Islands, which in turn is helpful to more remote tourism operators,” he said.
The Chinese Ambassador to Solomon Islands, His Excellency (H.E) LI Ming when addressing the participants during the Tourism summit acknowledges Solomon Islands rich tourism resources.
“The initiation of the ‘Holiday packages’ demonstrates the resolve and determination of Solomon Islands government and industries to overcome the difficulties caused by the pandemic and recover the SI economy.
“Solomon Islands has rich tourism resources, which I’ve already had opportunity to experience in the past months.
“I sincerely enjoy the beautiful natural landscape and highly appreciate the valuable cultural heritage, hospitality of the people,” Ambassador Ming expressed.
Meanwhile, according to Collin Sigimanu, the ‘Iumi Tugeda Holidays’ packages are available with pricing for singles, couples, groups, and families with exceptional deals for groups of four or more passengers.
“To allow maximum flexibility, the specials will apply for stays through to 31 March 2022 and no travel blackout dates or periods apply throughout the year,” he added.
“Passengers need only make their holiday flight bookings at least 7 days in advance of departure,” the Commercial Manager, Solomon Airlines said.
