Tourism Solomons Joins Tinakula Festival 2025 as Gold Sponsor
The Tinakula Festival Committee is happy to announce that Tourism Solomons is now our official Gold Sponsor for this year’s Hatanga and ByGroup Tinakula Festival 2025, which is set for 25th and 26th July at SINU (FOPA) Village, Honiara.
The official signing ceremony recently happened at the Tourism Solomons Head Office in Honiara, with Acting CEO Mr. Dagnal Dereveke and our Festival Chairman Mr. Noel Nelu putting pen to paper. Members of our Committee were also there to witness this great moment.
Mr. Dereveke shared that Tourism Solomons is proud to support the Tinakula Festival once again.
“Tourism Solomons will always stand behind cultural events like this one. We’ve seen the commitment of the Tinakula team in past years. They’ve shown real passion to protect and promote the rich culture of Temotu for our younger generation,” he said.

Festival Chairman Mr. Noel Nelu also expressed deep appreciation:
“This partnership means a lot to us. Tinakula Festival is not just an event — it’s about keeping our identity as Temotu people alive.
With support from Tourism Solomons, our stories and traditions can reach even more people, here at home and overseas,” he said.
The Hatanga and ByGroup Tinakula Festival 2025 will run for two full days, showcasing cultural performances, kastom dances, string band music, local art and crafts, island food, and language storytelling — all focused on the unique identity of Temotu Province.
This year’s theme is “Roots to Horizon” — a reminder that while we honour where we come from, we’re also looking ahead to the future with hope.
The Tinakula Festival Committee, together with our sponsors and partners, would like to invite everyone in Honiara and beyond to come down to SINU FOPA Village on 25th and 26th July. It’s going to be a colourful, powerful, and meaningful celebration of who we are.
