RODERICK Bay Beach Bungalow in the Sun-fly Passage in Ngella, Central Province, will soon look at options to accept only vaccinated visitors to their accommodation.

This was according to Director and Local Tourism Operator, Patrick Sara in an interview recently in Honiara.

Mr. Sara said they will be organizing a staff meeting soon to get all company staff vaccinated.

“Firstly, we have to hold a staff meeting to get all staff vaccinated before enforcing the proposed regulation.

Visitors will be allowed to enter providing they satisfy certain criteria, including showing proof vaccination, that is, providing their vaccination certificate,” Mr. Sara said.

Mr. Sara expressed that as an industry that received many people from different places both locally and internationally, it is very important to monitor and impose certain safety measures and visitors will have to comply with those measures.

“I encourage visitors and the general public to follow the measures or the health regulations in place to avoid disappointments.

“The Health measures can be for COVID-19 or just other common diseases and infections,” Mr. Sara said.

Meanwhile, as of Friday 4th of September, a total of 95,288 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered for 1st and 2nd doses of AstraZeneca and Sino pharm Vaccines.

The National Government is anticipating that by Friday 16th September all 9 provinces in the country to roll out vaccination programs.
