IYAZ Keen on Collaborating with DMP

THE King of Island Pop Iyaz is keen on collaborating with the country’s very own Island Reggae Boy Band – Doorman’s Project (DMP).
Speaking at a press conference with the local media upon arriving in Honiara, Keidran Jones (a.k.a.) Iyaz expressed his excitement to meet with them as he described them as Michael Jackson and the Jackson five but in the island form and said their music is pure.
“Their music sounds so pure, like when I listened to their songs I’m like this is me! That sounds like me!
“Those guys are like Michael Jackson, the Jackson five, but it’s like an island form.
“I will be keen to make some kind of music or video with these guys,” he said.
By his gesture and use of words, it shows how impatient he was to meet the band, as he laughingly motioned everyone in the room to bring in the band in the conference room at once.
He said he first listened to DMP two years ago, introduced to him by the international tour agent, DJ Victor Lopez.
“He (Lopez) put me on to them (DMP) two years ago and he was like I want you to listen to these guys, I did and I said oh they doped and it was needed there.
“Last year he played me some new stuff and he showed me the videos and I’m like wow, these (guys) are the biggest thing on this side of the world,” the Multiple Platinum award winner said.
