Meet Miss Tourism’s Advocator for Tourism, Law and Education

MISS Solomon Islands Pageant 2024 has announced Kerrie Faradatolo, 25, as Miss Tourism.

Faradatolo holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific.

She comes from Malaita Province (mother from Silolo village, North Malaita, and father from Talakali, Langalanga) and is currently employed as senior legislative drafting counsel for the Attorney General’s Chambers Office in Honiara.

Ms. Kerrie will be advocating for tourism, law, and education and hopes to embark on a journey to explore the Solomon Islands diverse cultures, amazing adventures, our rich WWII history, and many more.

Not only is she a vision of beauty, but she also possesses a passion for promoting tourism in the Solomon Islands. With a deep love for the country, she is dedicated to showcasing the beauty and diversity of the country to the world.

According to the Miss Solomon Islands Pageant 2024 (MSIP 2024) Facebook page, Miss Tourism 2024 made her first visit to the happy villagers of Hotomai Cultural Village, in Central Guadalcanal.

“Much excitement was received from our locals for the special visit. She joined the Tour Group: Adventures Abroad Worldwide for a half-day cultural village tour experience. She warmly welcomed and thanked the guests for visiting our islands.

“Adventures Abroad Group 2 is accommodated for a week at Heritage Park Hotel and explores the sites of Guadalcanal, Honiara, and the Florida Islands with Travel Solomons LTD. Two of our supporting sponsors of Miss Tourism 2024.

“Solomon Islands culture is raw and exotic, which is an exciting experience for the international guests,” the MSIP 2024 Facebook page wrote.

Ms. Kerrie’s appointment comes at a crucial time, as the tourism industry continues to grapple with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing need for sustainable tourism practices. With her expertise in law and passion for advocacy, Kerrie is sure to make a significant impact on promoting responsible and ethical tourism in the country.

Miss Tourism’s recently made her official signing with her sponsors and Solomon Host Events at Heritage Park Hotel.
