Dive Munda’s Botha Scoops Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Belinda Botha of Dive Munda on Saturday night walked away with the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award at the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (SICCI) Business Excellence Award (BEA) night that was held at the Coral Seas Casino and Resort.
She was one of only two female entrepreneurs to be awarded that night.
Upon receiving her award, Belinda Botha could not let her excitement to pass without thanking her Dive Munda team for their hard work in bringing them this far and also her family, to be an inspiration.
She said such an award has given her a voice with increased visibility worldwide.
“There are many challenges we encounter along the way.
“I believe an award like this gives us a responsible voice with increased visibility worldwide.
“We are a small operator in a small country with a small population but with the potential of a big impact.
“We have much yet to learned and far yet to go. But we believed our story must be shared,” she said.
She continued: “Our story is about hope, positivity, passion, protecting our reefs and corals, our ocean and our culture.
“Our story is about youth employment, growing tourism, empowering females and enriching our communities and villages.
“Our story is about change. Be the change you wish to see in the world.
“Thank you so much for believing in our story and recognizing it! My work here is not yet done. And our story is not yet finished,” the Dive Munda boss said as she and her female colleague proceeds to the photo booth for a photo-shoot.
