Guadalcanal Travel Solomons Opens Second Branch at Henderson

HONIARA — Guadalcanal Travel Solomons (GTS) has officially opened its second branch, located at Henderson, Guadalcanal, marking what the company describes as an important milestone in its growth.

A New Chapter for GTS

Speaking at the official opening, representatives of GTS’s Board, Management, and staff welcomed guests to the occasion, describing the new branch as more than simply the opening of another office. The company said the milestone reflects its ongoing growth as a business, its commitment to bringing services closer to customers, and its aim to strengthen its presence in Guadalcanal while contributing to the wider growth of the travel and tourism industry in the Solomon Islands.

Guests and Partners in Attendance

The event drew a range of guests and partners from across the travel, tourism, and government sectors. Attendees included Pastor Tutuo; Mrs. Jenny Lobo Pitakaka, Senior Marketing representative from Solomon Airlines (IE); Mr. Luke Kikolo, representative of Air Niugini (PX); Mrs. Hellen Aumae Boso, Team Leader for Digital and Research and Senior Marketing Officer at Tourism Solomons (TS); and Mr. Mark Ligo of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Also present were corporate customers including CCEC, Middle Island, and Ecall, along with members of the GTS Agency Team and representatives from the company’s sister company.

Looking Ahead

GTS management extended thanks to all guests, partners, customers, colleagues, and members of the GTS family who attended, saying their presence and continued support meant a great deal to the company. The company credited its partnerships with airlines, government agencies, tourism stakeholders, and corporate customers as having contributed significantly to its growth and operational success.

Looking forward, GTS said it intends to strengthen these partnerships, expand its services, and create further opportunities to serve customers while supporting the development of travel and tourism in the Solomon Islands.
